Birthday Present

As Jack's 1st birthday approaches, many of you are probably asking yourself, "What does a one year old want? What does a one year old need?"
I too have wondered this and have taken it upon myself to find out. As you all know, Jack does not yet speak English, rendering a direct question useless. Instead, I have to rely on extensive research in the fields of human development and non-verbal communication. After 12 months of study and complete immersion into the world of Jack Bradley, I can finally say with complete confidence, "I know what Jack most wants most for his 1st anniversary celebration."
He wants a flat panel television monitor capable of displaying a High-Definition signal.
I agree that this may be excessive for a one year old and maybe its time for that discussion on the evils of unchecked consumerism. I don't know, this is my first time raising a child. What I do know however, is that Jack wants a Hi-Def TV and despite my reservations, if anyone wants to grant him this 1st birthday wish, I won't stop them.
